My Passion: Education should serve one’s capacity to create value (happiness) from the challenges and opportunities life presents.
As an educator, I was devoted to the happiness of children and I worked tirelessly to make certain that all children were given equal opportunities. My theories of value-creating education have inspired many. I also founded a movement – now called Soka Gakkai – Buddhism in action for peace. Today, a network of Soka schools from kindergarten to post-graduate university level has been established around the globe.
